RUN LIKE A REFUGEE

World’s first story that is told by using the Oculus Rift, a treadmill and Arduino to connect them.

Millions of refugee articles appear every day, making people numb for the human story behind it.
We created a interactive installation that makes people run like a refugee. Using the true and horrible story of a refugee people could experience his journey from Iran to the Netherlands.

Together with Pieter van den Heuvel, Thijs Biersteker, Daniel Noguiera and AMP.Amsterdam we created this Insight Installation for the 2014 Creative Press Challenge.
The Creative Press Challenge is a competition for Dutch creatives to get to the core of their
idea by stripping it down to a print ad. The winner gets produced, placed and submitted to the Cannes Lions festival.

This year we created a special briefing installation for the 2014 Creative Press Challenge for the foundation for refugee students.
Its story was developed after an intense interview we had with a former Iranian refugee.
It is completely written as an ‘inner dialogue’, using the voice in your head as the narrator.
